Replace the ink cartridges

1. Before you replace the cartridges load plain white paper in the input tray.

2. Press the Power button to turn on the printer, if it is not already on.

3. Open the cartridge access door by placing two fingers under one or both of the small handles on the sides of the cartridge access door and then lifting it up. The Door Open screen displays on the printer control panel with the message, ‘The cover or door must be closed to print. Check that it is completely closed.’ A Change Ink option also displays on the bottom right corner of the touchscreen. Remove the old cartridge
4. Lightly press down on one of the old cartridges to release it, and then pull the cartridge toward you out of its slot, and then set it aside for recycling. Replace the ink cartridges

Replace the ink cartridges.

1. Load plain paper. Whenever you install a new cartridge, the product prompts you to load paper so that you can complete a cartridge alignment.

2. Check that power is on. If the product is off, press the Power button to turn on the product. Wait until the product is idle and silent before continuing.

3. Remove cartridge.
a. Open the cartridge access door. Grasp the handles on either side of the cartridge access door, and then raise the door until it locks into place. The carriage moves to the access area. Wait for print carriage to move to right side of product.

c. With the nozzle and the contacts facing down, push the cartridge into its slot. Press down on the cartridge until it is firmly seated. Make sure that the color icon on the cartridge label matches the color icon on the slot.

Replace the ink cartridges
