Replace the ink cartridges

1. Before you install the ink cartridges, load the paper tray with plain white paper.
2. Turn the printer on by pressing the On/Off button (power button), if it is not already turned on. Wait until the product is idle and silent before continuing.

Remove the empty cartridge
3. Open the ink cartridge access door by placing two fingers under one or both of the small handles on the sides of the ink cartridge access door, and then lift up. The Door Open screen displays on the printer control panel with the message, ‘The cover or door must be closed to print. Replace the ink cartridges

Replace the ink cartridges

1. Press the Power button to turn on the printer, if it is not already on.

Remove the old cartridge
2. Slip your fingers into the slot on the left side of the printer, and then lift to open the cartridge access door. The carriage moves to the cartridge access area. Wait several seconds until the carriage is idle and silent before you continue.

3. Push the ink cartridge inward and then pull up to remove it from the slot.

Insert a new cartridge
4. Remove the new ink cartridge from its packaging. Pull the orange tab on the wrapper straight back.
