Replace the ink cartridges

1. Press the Power button to turn on the printer, if it is not already turned on.

2. Load unused plain white paper into the input tray.

Replace the ink cartridges

Replace the ink cartridges

Do NOT lift the latch handle on the print carriage to install the ink cartridges. Doing so could cause the printhead or ink cartridges to be incorrectly seated, which can cause errors or print quality problems. The latch must remain down in order to correctly install the ink cartridges.

5. Hold the new cartridge so that the cartridge contacts face the printer. Using the color-coded letters for help, slide the ink cartridge into the empty slot until until it clicks into place and it is securely installed in the slot. Replace the ink cartridges

Slide the new print cartridge at a slight upward angle into the empty slot. Then gently push on the upper part of the print cartridge forward until it snaps into place. If you are installing the tri-color print cartridge, slide it into the left slot. If you are installing the black OR photo print cartridge, slide it into the right slot.

8. Repeat step 4 to 7 to replace the other cartridge, if needed.

9.Close the printer cover.

– Open the printer Toolbox.
