How to Replace an Empty Ink Cartridge in the HP Officejet Pro L7680 All-in-One series – an Illustrated Tutorial in 8 Steps

Make sure you purchase the right ink cartridges for your specific printer and printer region or have your old ones refilled. Cartridges are not compatible between different brands, and often not within the same brand. HP often designs its inkjet hardware to use country-specific consumables. When you unbox a new HP inkjet printer and set it up, you install a set of ink tanks that ship with the printer. As you turn on the device and get ready to use it, an initialization sequence localizes it to the country associated with the ink cartridges you installed. HP recommends that you use original HP ink cartridges.

XL (Extra Large) cartridges cost more but do provide better value in the long run. They will be able to print at least double the pages of a regular cartridge. Our advice is that if you print often, go with XL. However, ink can dry up. So if you are not a frequent printer, go with the regular cartridges.

You can check the estimated ink levels from the printer control-panel, from the printer Toolbox, and the embedded Web server (EWS).

A. To check the estimated ink levels from the display.
The color display of the HP Officejet Pro L7680 shows ink level icons at the bottom of the display. The color of the icon corresponds to the color of the ink cartridge, and the fill level of the icon corresponds to the fill level of the ink cartridge.

B. To check the estimated ink levels from the printer Toolbox (Windows).
– Open the Toolbox: From the HP Solution Center, click the Settings menu, point to Print Settings, and then click Printer Toolbox.
– Click the Estimated Ink Levels tab to view the inklevel information, and then scroll to display the Cartridge Details button. Click the Cartridge Details button to view information about replacement ink cartridges.
C. To check the estimated ink levels from the embedded Web server.
The embedded Web server contains pages that you can use to view product information and change device settings. The pages also contain links to other e-services. The Information page shows status information about the device, its ink supplies and usage, and a log of device events (such as errors).

Ink level warnings and indicators provide estimates for planning purposes only. Consider getting replacement print cartridges when you receive a low-ink warning message. This avoids possible printing delays. You do not need to replace the print cartridges until print quality becomes unacceptable.

Which ink cartridges do I need for my HP Officejet Pro L7680 All-in-One Printer?

For your US, European and UK HP Officejet Pro L7680 All-in-One Printer you need HP 88 Black (OR HP 88XL Black) AND 3 color cartridges: HP 88 Cyan, HP 88 Magenta and HP 88 Yellow (OR the XL-versions). There are also Combo Packs (3 cartridges in one pack) available, like the HP 88XL Value Combo Pack Cyan Magenta and Yellow High Yield Original Ink.

Replace the ink cartridges

1. Press the power button to turn on the printer, if it is not already on. Wait until the product is idle and silent before continuing. When the device is turned on for the first time, it takes approximately 12 minutes to initialize it after the printheads are installed.

2. Load plain unused Letter or A4 white paper in the input tray.

3. Gently pull open the ink cartridge cover.

4. Remove the ink cartridge that requires replacement by grasping it between your thumb and forefinger and pulling it firmly toward you.

Note: Your HP Officejet Pro L7680 All-in-One printer may not look exactly like the picture below, but the cartridge numbers and cartridge system are the same.

Insert a new cartridge
5. Remove the new ink cartridge from its package. Be careful to touch only the plastic on the cartridge. Do NOT touch the electrical contacts and ink port.

6. Hold the cartridge by its sides with the nozzle toward the product, and then insert the cartridge into its color-coded slot. Press the cartridge forward into the slot until it snaps into place. Press down firmly on the cartridge to ensure proper contact.

7. If more than one cartridge is low on ink, repeat the steps to insert the other cartridges.
8. Close the ink cartridge cover.

Align the printhead only if necessary.
Whenever you replace a cartridge or printhead, the device automatically aligns the printheads to ensure the best print quality. However, if the appearance of your printed pages indicates that the printheads are misaligned, you can start the alignment process manually. You can align the printhead from the printer control panel, from the HP printer software and from the embedded web server (EWS).
– Control panel: Press the Setup button, select Tools, select Align Printer, and then press OK. Press OK when the alignment is done to continue.
– Embedded Web server (EWS): Click the Settings tab, click Device Services in the left pane, select Align Printheads from the drop-down list in the Print Quality section, and then click Run Diagnostic.
– Toolbox (Windows): Click the Services tab, and then click Align Printheads and follow the onscreen instructions.

To check the ink levels from the control panel
Look for two icons at the bottom of the color graphics display that represent the levels of ink remaining in the two installed print cartridges.

– A green icon represents an estimate of the amount of ink remaining in the tricolor print cartridge.
– A black icon represents an estimate of the amount of ink remaining in the black print cartridge.
– An orange icon represents an estimate of the amount of ink remaining in the photo print cartridge.
– A blue-gray icon represents an estimate of the amount of ink remaining in the gray photo print cartridge.

If you are using non-HP print cartridges or cartridges that have been refilled, or if there is no print cartridge installed in one of the cartridge stalls, one or both icons might not appear in the icon bar. The HP all-in-one cannot detect the amount of ink remaining in non-HP print cartridges or cartridges that have been refilled.

Ink level warnings and indicators provide estimates for planning purposes only. You do not have to replace the cartridges until the print quality is unacceptable.

Although the manual and online recources of the hp officejet 7310 do not mention an ink-backup (or single-cartrige) mode, you might try to to operate the HP Officejet with only one print cartridge, when you’re out of new cartridges. The ink-backup mode is initiated when a print cartridge is removed from the print cartridge carriage. This printing mode lets you print with a single print cartridge, but it slows the product and affects the quality of printouts. We do not recommend using the photo print cartridge for ink-backup mode.

Which ink cartridges do I need for my HP Officejet 7310 All-in-one Printer?

Four print cartridges are available for use with the printer.

1. Black
2. Tri-color
3. Photo
4. Gray photo

– Everyday printing: Use the black and tri-color print cartridges for everyday print jobs.
– Quality color photos: For more vibrant colors when printing color photographs or other special documents, remove the black print cartridge and use a photo print cartridge in combination with the tri-color print cartridge.
– Quality black and white photos: For outstanding black and white photographs, remove the black print cartridge and use a gray photo print cartridge in combination with the tri-color cartridge.

For your US HP Officejet 7310 All-in-one Printer you need HP 94 Black OR HP 96 Black cartridges AND HP 95 Tri-color OR HP 97 Tri-color cartridges. Check the price of HP 94 and HP 95 cartridges at Amazon.com .

For printing photos use HP 99 Photo Original cartridges.
For printing black-and-white photographs use HP 100 Gray Photo Original Ink Cartridge cartridges.

For your European or UK HP Officejet 7310 All-in-one Printer you need HP 338 Black OR HP 339 Black cartridges AND HP 343 Tri-color OR HP 344 Tri-color cartridges.

Replace the ink cartridges

1. Press the Power button to turn on the printer, if it is not already turned on. After you press the On button, the green light flashes, and then becomes solid. This may take up to a minute. Wait until the product is idle and silent before continuing.

2. Load unused, plain white letter or A4-sized paper in the tray, if you have not already done so.

Remove the empty cartridge
3. Open the print-carriage access door by lifting from the front center of the device, until the door locks into place. The print carriage is on the far right side of the HP all-in-one. Wait until the carriage is idle and silent before proceeding.

4. Press down lightly on top of the cartridge latch and pull out the bottom of the latch to unhook it.

5. Push down on the print cartridge to release it, and then gently slide the print cartridge out of the print cartridge cradle. If you are replacing the tri-color print cartridge, lift the green latch on the left. If you are replacing the black, photo, or gray photo print cartridge, lift the black latch on the right.

Insert a new cartridge
6. Remove the new cartridge from its packaging. Be careful to touch only the black plastic.



Do NOT:
– Remove the copper electrical strip.
– Touch the copper-colored contacts or the ink nozzles.
– Replace the protective tape on the contacts.

7. Gently remove the plastic tape on the cartridge by pulling the colored pull tab.

8. Hold the print cartridge with the copper contacts facing the printer, and then slide the print cartridge into the empty slot. Push the print cartridge forward until it clicks into place. After you insert the print cartridge, verify that the copper contacts of the print cartridge touch the back of the print cartridge cradle.

If the print cartridge you are installing has a white triangle on its label, slide the print cartridge into the slot on the left. The latch is green with a solid white triangle on it. If the print cartridge you are installing has a white square or a white pentagon on its label, slide the print cartridge into the slot on the right. The latch is black with a solid white square and a solid white pentagon on it.

9. Push down on the print cartridge latch until it stops. Make sure the latch catches below the bottom tabs, and does not spring back open.

10. Repeat step 4 to 9 to replace the other cartridge, if necessary.

11. Close the top cover.

Align the ink cartridges.
If you installed a new print cartridge, the printer prints an alignment page and aligns the print cartridges. Recycle or discard the page. Note: If you remove and reinstall the same print cartridge, the HP all-in-one will not prompt you to align the print cartridges. The HP all-in-one remembers the alignment values for that print cartridge, so you do not need to realign the print cartridges.

Aligning the print cartridges ensures high-quality output. You can also align the print cartridges at any time from the control panel or by using the HP Image Zone software on your computer.

To align the cartridges from the control panel at any other time:
– Load letter or A4 unused plain white paper into the input tray.
– Press Setup.
– Press 6, then press 2.

This displays the Tools menu and then selects Align Print Cartridge.
The HP all-in-one prints a print cartridge alignment sheet and aligns the print cartridges. Recycle or discard the page.

Popal Daily Dutch Basic LED Achterlamp – Batterijen Vervangen – Handleiding

Goed werkende verlichting op fietsen is van levensbelang. Het is dan ook erg belangrijk om de batterijen snel te vervangen als ze leeg of zwak zijn. Dit is een handleiding voor de Popal Daily Dutch Basic LED Achterlamp. Deze handleiding is echter ook vaak voor andere (Popal) fietsen te gebruiken, omdat het achterlicht (bijvoorbeeld de Popal Achterlamp Klein E1, PL786114) ongeveer hetzelfde is. Het vervangen van de batterijen is niet moeilijk; er is alleen een schroevendraaier voor nodig. Het is niet nodig om de hele LED Achterlamp te vervangen of te verwijderen. Het is ook niet nodig om de fiets op te takelen of op zijn kop te zetten.

De Popal Daily Dutch Basic LED Achterlamp werkt met twee standaard alkaline batterijen, type AAA. Deze zijn kleiner dan de grotere AA “Penlight” variant. U kunt ook oplaadbare Ni-MH batterijen gebruiken. De levensduur van de batterijen is dan echter korter.

Benodigdheden
– 1 kleine kruiskopschroevendraaier
– 2 standaard AAA batterijen

1. Lokaliseer het schroefje. De deksel van het achterlicht kan alleen zonder schade van de montageplaat gehaald worden door eerst één klein kruiskopschroefje te verwijderen! Het schroefje bevindt zich net boven de rode voorzijde van de achterlamp.

2. Gebruik de kruiskopschroevendraaier om het schroefje, die de het doorzichtig en rood gekleurde omhulsel (de deksel) van de achterlamp op zijn plaats houdt helemaal los te draaien. Draai naar links, tegen de klok in. Er is maar één schroefje om te verwijderen. Laat de schroef in het plastic omhulsel zitten, zodat dat u hem weer terug kunt vinden.

3. Trek nu het plastic omhulsel van de zwarte montageplaat. Dit gaat heel makkelijk; er is geen kracht voor nodig. Mocht hij niet helemaal loskomen, dan is het schroefje niet helemaal losgedraaid. Draai het dan alsnog helemaal los.

4. Verwijder de lege of zwakke AAA batterijen uit de montageplaat. De eerste rechter batterij kunt u het beste met uw nagel naar voren kantelen. De tweede linker batterij pakt u vervolgens tussen duim en wijsvinger. Vervang altijd beide batterijen, ook als er één nog werkt.

5. Plaats nu 2 nieuwe of opgeladen AAA batterijen in de batterijhouder. Let op dat u de batterijen op de juiste wijze plaatst met de plus- en minkant van de batterijen conform het tekeningetje in de zwarte batterijhouder.

6. Plaats nu het doorzichtig en rood gekleurde omhulsel (de deksel) van de achterlamp weer terug op de zwarte montageplaat. Dit moet heel makkelijk gaan. Er is geen kracht voor nodig.

7. Draai het enkele schroefje weer vast. Draai hiervoor naar rechts, met de klok mee. Alles moet precies passen.

8. Schakel het achterlicht in. De kleine blauwe aan- uit schakelaar bevindt zich aan bovenzijde van de koplamp. Als u de knop indrukt, gaat de lamp aan. Test of de verlichting naar behoren werkt, ook als er aan de fiets geschud wordt en u het achterwiel laat stuiteren.

Dat is alles! De fiets van uw kind is weer klaar voor veilig gebruik.
